I was introduced to Dan Morris, founder of Property Visions, by a mutual friend who recommended him for a finished basement construction project at my home in Scarsdale, NY. A competitive cost estimate followed our initial meeting and Dan was hired. Not only did Dan prove to be an excellent carpenter and project manager but he also made several suggestions that saved money and time in completing the project. For a critical homeowner/handyman like me Dan was a perfect match. His dedication to the job was great and he was on site every day until completion of the two-week project. What particularly impresses me about Dan is his easygoing manner; his exceptional advanced planning, his thoroughness and attention to detail and his pride in the finished product. Did I mention that the site was wiped clean each night? In terms of customer service, Dan voluntarily returned to take care of several minor items that he felt needed improvement. Dan’s competency in home remodeling is laudable and he is a pleasure to work with. I am happy to recommend him to anyone planning a high-end home remodeling project.
Daniel Morris recently installed a master bath in our house. He completed the work on time, on budget and with no disruption in our daily lives. He did a superb job; my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the results. In addition to his skills as a carpenter, plumber, and electrician, Dan and his associate offered some wonderful design ideas that were incorporated into the final plan. Dan has qualities one doesn’t often find in contractors these days: honesty, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. I heartily recommend him for any remodeling job you are considering.
After hearing so many disaster stories and complaints about contractors, my husband and I were apprehensive about adding a new addition to our home. This was the first major home project we attempted. We hired Dan Morris after compiling several estimates and seeing his work. We can happily say that we have absolutely NO regrets in hiring Dan. Through every aspect Dan was professional, thorough and quite the gentleman. We found him to be a perfectionist in his work and attitude. Even with several changes in plans, all was handled calmly, timely and efficiently. His eye for detail shows in his work. During this project there was a family illness that needed my immediate attention. It was extremely comforting to know that I had complete confidence in Dan while my focus and time was spent elsewhere. I knew that the project was in good hands. We love our new addition and could not be happier. We have already recommended Dan to several of our friends and neighbors. We can honestly say that our experience a pleasant one.
My husband and I engaged Dan Morris as our contractor to renovate our Connecticut home. The project encompassed extensive remodeling and expansion of the property. Dan oversaw the project at every stage, beginning with facilitating complex town building permits and approvals, into construction and through to completion sign-offs by appropriate authorities. Dan is diligent, responsible, and trustworthy. His intelligent and calm problem solving approach to various issues that arose during the project is a unique strength. We were very pleased with Dan’s work and we continue to rely on him with every aspect of maintaining and managing our home. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Dan Morris did a number of large projects for me including renovating my kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Renovating the kitchen involved among other things, gutting the existing kitchen, removing a load-bearing wall, and moving the electrical, plumbing and HVAC ducts which ran from the floor below to the floor above. The bathroom was also taken down to the two-by-fours and involved the installation of a commercial style electrical door. All three projects involved mostly custom features. Dan also replaced most of the windows in my house, refaced a fireplace, opened up a doorway, which involved removing another load bearing wall, and did various other small jobs. As should be evident by the amount of repeat business that I have given to Dan, I have been very satisfied with Dan’s work. I appreciate his “can-do” attitude, even when the request is out of the ordinary. Dan figured out how to solve problems that other professionals told me were not possible. In addition to general contracting, Dan does his own carpentry work and is an excellent carpenter. In my experience, Dan has always lived by his original estimates even when there were small changes in the plan. I continue to call Dan whenever I have appropriate projects for him. I have recommended Dan to my friends and do not hesitate to recommend Dan to you.
Tired of pitying looks from contractors when you ask them for a minor job change? Sick of being told that what you want is impossible and/or exorbitantly expensive? Several years ago I sought bids from four contractors to build out unfinished attic space with a home office and powder room. Although Dan Morris was not the low bidder, I luckily followed my instincts and signed him on. Was I happy? Well, he has since rebuilt the master bath, built a gym and a bar area in my finished basement and is currently framing a shaft way for a residential elevator re aching three floors. Being indecisive, I required plenty of job changes. All I ever heard from Dan was “anything’s possible and this is what it entails”. This turned out to be true in all instances. Not only that, but it made each job fun. I’ve since put Dan onto major remodeling with two friends, both in Greenwich. They’re well pleased with the results as well. Since Dan doesn’t do kickbacks, my recommendation is heartfelt.
